Current Events

The following events are presented as a service to the individuals or organizations indicated.

1. The College of Lake County Fall semester (August 21 thru December) Hapkido Class 

Wednesday afternoons from 4pm to 6pm in the Physical Education Building, Room 704  (Mat Room). Enrollment for the semester is through the College of Lake County.  For further in formation please contact Midwest Hapkido at (847) 265-2775 or at this E-mail address: bsims@midwesthapkido.com   

2.) The College of Lake County Hapkido Program (remedial) will resume on Monday Evening, August 19th from 7pm to 9pm in Rm 705 at the Physical Education Building on the  CLC Grayslake Campus.   For further in formation please contact Midwest Hapkido at (847) 265-2775 or at this E-mail address: bsims@midwesthapkido.com

The Hwa Rang Korean Sword Club will continue to meet each Saturday morning from 9am to 11am in the Physical Education Building mat room. The club meeting is an opportunity for open mat, testing, or networking regarding Kum-Bup  activities in the Lake County area. The club is organized under the World Hwa Rang Kum-Bup Association and is taught in a traditional format. Traditional Kum-Bup uniform or appropriate athelic attire is expected. The use of shin guem (steel swords) is not allowed, nor invited. 

4. The Libertyville Park District Hapkido Program will began its Fall   Semester on September 9th at the Libertyville Park District Building on Winchester Avenue in Libertyville. Classes continue to meet each Saturday from 1pm to 3pm with make-up classes scheduled for Friday evenings from 7pm to 9pm or Sunday mornings as arranged.  Application is made through the Libertyville Park District. Enrolled students of either the Park District Program or the College of Lake County Hapkido program enjoy reciprocity between these programs. Class are taught in a formal format. Observation is participatory and appropriate athletic or martial arts attire is expected.
